With the lifetime of a fire alarm system being many years, it’s important to invest in an MX1 addressable fire alarm system with smarter technology smoke detectors to reduce expensive nuisance alarms from occurring. In today’s FlameStop TV episode, Rob and Ben discuss the distinct technological differences between the 850 series smoke detectors (connected to an MX1 addressable panel) verse typical operating smoke detectors offered by others. The Vigilant MX1 addressable systems are non-proprietary and a great choice when it comes to either replacing an existing fire alarm system or installing a new one. The MX FastLogic smoke detector algorithms provide advanced solutions to customers, ensuring fast and reliable detection in the most demanding applications in Australia.
Ben is the General Manager of FlameStop Australia. He first started his career with the company over 17 years ago in internal sales. Through hard work and determination Ben quickly progressed up the ranks through various management positions. Ben has traditionally specialised on portable fire extinguishers, however over the years and with our product diversification he has now become quite the generalist on all things FlameStop..
As the General Manager, Ben currently manages the sales & operations of 100 + team members spread throughout our 10 Distribution Centres located in Australia and New Zealand. He enjoys working hands-on with our various teams and never shies away from a challenge. When Ben is not working he enjoys spending time with his family on the Gold Coast, BBQing trying to master the perfect brisket (low and slow) and watching his beloved Brisbane Broncos football team.
Rob is the National Manager for the Fire Detection products portfolio at FlameStop. He has been in the fire industry for over 17 years, with 10 of those years being with FlameStop. Rob has played an instrumental role in the rapid growth and expansion of the company over the past decade, and continues to make improvements to take things to the next level.
Rob has been responsible for driving product strategy and direction and realises the importance of service and loyalty in the world of the fire industry. Each day he strives to attain an outstanding experience for all FlameStop customers, as well as being responsible for the vision, growth and development of his product portfolio.
Rob’s hobbies include participating in triathlons, playing squash and also spending time with family (in particular helping his two young daughters with their netball skills). Rob follows both football codes supporting the GWS Giants and Penrith Panthers.
After making the first series of FlameStop TV both Ben and Rob have agreed there is definitely no career for them in acting, and hoping to better their efforts for the next series of shows.
