Dust Collections

Dust collectors work by separating particulates from flowing air through extensive filters. A dust collector has all the components of the classic fire triangle: an ignition source, a fuel, and an oxidizer. It is often easy to ​find all three in many manufacturing facilities around various dust collection points and in collectors. Sparks, heat, or embers from various manufacturing processes can become ignition sources upon reaching the collector or storage bin. The dust produced and collected may provide fuel. Air used to transport dust to a collector then provides the last component, an oxidizer.

The Stat-X 24/7 automatic fire suppression system is designed and installed to discharge the highly effective Stat-X aerosol directly into the actual non-explosive dust collector system to suppress the fire. This agent will stay suspended and travel downstream through the collector continuing its effectiveness.
